GRACE GROWTH GRIT & THE GRIND!
Greetings beautiful and blessed child of God, its September! Not sure about you, but I love this time of year. That somewhere between summer and autumn time of year. So much always seems to evolve and change in my life around this turning point in the year, when the seasons are getting ready to change. So YES, in the spirit of transitions this is my official new website and blog with a total makeover. New purpose, new design, and an overall new everything, but the same ol’ authentic me! Feel free to let me know what you think. So, I’m sure the burning question is: what can you expect to see from me on the new site? Glad you asked. The content you will find here will include topics that fall under the following headlines: GRACE, GROWTH, GRIT & THE GRIND!
See the heart behind each chosen headline below:
GRACE (2 Corinthians 4:6-9 NIV)
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” #BrokenVessels
GROWTH (2 Timothy 2:15 NIV)
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” #InsideAndOut
THE GRIT (1 Peter 3:15-18 MSG)
“If with heart and soul you’re doing good, do you think you can be stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you’re still better off. Don’t give the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath. It’s better to suffer for doing good, if that’s what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’ sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.” #StandFirm
THE GRIND (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” #WithEverything
A LABOR OF LOVE
This blog website is a culmination of a labor of love. Balancing acts is an understatement for the tasks ahead of me in this season. I guess I just like a full plate or God just trusts me a whole lot. Either way, I’m too blessed to be stressed. Currently, by His strength I am balancing a full-time nursing and part-time military career, with full-time public health studies online at Colorado School of Public Health, full-time ministry leadership school at Highlands College, plus my personal co-authorship journey with God.
This new blog website is just one aspect of that journey. Can someone say pass the coffee please…? I am, however excited about it all though. This turning point and transition in my life at the young age of thirty-five has been a very blessed one, filled with tears and triumphs and a lot of hard work to come to this point. I thank God for giving me an inquisitive mindset and breathing His creative spirit in me from before the day I was formed in my mother’s womb and first set my eyes on this earth. It is because of His grace that I continue to do what I do. I write and create and never stop learning because I know it all has a purpose. He said keep your light trimmed and burning. Never let it go out (Luke 12:35), and I plan to burn the oil of His anointing over my life until the day they body me. So pull up a seat to the table because as I dive into this full plate set before me, I pray that you will join me as we take a seat at the table to partake of the feast. #ComeEmpty!
Luke 12:34-38 MSG
“Keep your shirts on; keep the lights on! Be like house servants waiting for their master to come back from his honeymoon, awake and ready to open the door when he arrives and knocks. Lucky the servants whom the master finds on watch! He’ll put on an apron, sit them at the table, and serve them a meal, sharing his wedding feast with them. It doesn’t matter what time of the night he arrives; they’re awake—and so blessed!
In His Love,
