1 Nov Write the Vision

Late post alert!

Nevertheless it is not too late to “write the vision and make it plain on tablets, so that one can read and understand it on the go…” ~ Habakkuk 2:2

So, in an effort to catch up on the current writing challenges on the ‘net this month, I wanted to start off by sharing a little bit about the two challenges I am currently attempting to keep up with.

Challenge #1 NaNoWriMo

As an aspiring non-fiction, Christian and healthy lifestyle writer/author, I have decided finally after at least a four year period to jump in on the NaNoWriMo novel writer’s challenge.

So, what exactly is NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writer’s Month. Novel Writer? Yes, that’s the title and theme of the challenge, however, I do not consider myself to be a fiction novel writer. Hence the previous statement at the top of this section.

So why, then would I participate in a fiction novel writer’s challenge? I have a few reasons:

  1. Motivation to reach a goal
  2. The extra push to stay focused
  3. The manifestation of a dream deferred: Authorship

So, while I am not a fiction novel writer, I still believe that writers of all genres and types can benefit from this challenge. I know this writer/blogger/aspiring published author definitely plans to.

Challenge #2: Blog Like Crazy with See Jane Write.

This is a new challenge for me, as I just recently stumbled upon the See Jane Write collective in the recent months. You can learn more about the Founder, Javacia Harris Bowser and her programs and initiatives HERE.

In an effort to keep my new blog alive despite my hectic life schedule, I decided to take on her recent challenge for November. To learn more about the Blog Like Crazy click HERE.

So during Blog Like Crazy, what can you the reader expect from this blog:

  • Real Life (unfiltered)
  • Daily Content (with the exception of my 4 day late start)

The topics of the daily posts will vary from day-to-day. Some faith-based devotionals and journal reflections, while other posts may be health and lifestyle related. Content may also be just general life, event, or  maybe even product or book review related as well. Just however the mood strikes at the time that I sit down to write, that is what I am writing about. I also plan to have day of the week themes that incorporates a devotional topic with an accompanying hashtag. However, most importantly all posts are original and  inspired by my real life and written from the heart.

I may even talk about my journey to authorship in one of my posts later in the month as my NaNoWriMo progress unfolds.

So welcome to my writing challenge world for the next 30 days (currently 26 days, because procrastination station and a non-stop life delayed me at the starting line!)

Nevertheless, I am picking up my virtual pen and ink and writing anyway!

Write From the Heart,

Candice Maria
